In most cases up lighting is a lighting fixture that is placed against a wall shining towards the ceiling to create a color accent or accent a certain feature in a space. In some situations we can also do down lighting which is the similar but in reverse, we would mount lighting to ceilings or railing higher in the space and shine down to create the accent or spot light a feature like a centerpiece.
